SO CLOSE..BUT SO FAR

Jobs..Jobs..Jobs..
So I finally got my call backs that I had been waiting for just over 2 weeks.

The role with the Recruitment Agency on Bay Street decided to internally promote the position so I lucked out on that one, but the one with the Marketing Company that I really wanted I have suceeded in securing that on! But before we get too excited the role has been moved with a starting date of April.

There was some issues with their headcount and they have had to look at their recosting structures.
The HR Manager called me this this afternoon to let me know they want me to join but she can understand if the start date causes some concerns. Im not gonna lie its frustrating! My last day here is next wednesday and the role with them isnt starting for a whole month.

Can I survive without an incoming income for a month? Mmm Maybe Yes.
Do I want to? No.
I know what Im like and I'll chew into so much of my saving (Not that I have alot!!)

I told her that I'd talk it over tonight and let her know a definate on Thursday of this week.
I could always go into temp work for the whole of March?

Anyhow, Lastnight I over loaded on Fruche
This is the bomb.

  2. Congrats on the job, pity about the start date - I personally would love a one month holiday - can you sell some items from your wardrobe to finance it? ;)

  5. yay on the job - nay for a month wait.

I think if it's a position you really wanted you should just wait the month. Lock yourself in your apartment so you dont go out spending LOL

    * or as you said - temp for a month

  6. Congrates on the job - I can't believe they would change the start date like that though... Seeings as it's the one you want, I would try survive, or do the temp work inbetween, if the jobs worth it to you :)

  7. I think you totally can - think of all the relaxing that you can do . It's only 31 days including weekends so that makes it even shorter! Yes you could temp but temping is pain in the a$$ coming from someone that has done it before. Although if you want some temp work I totally can hook you up with two recruiters in Melbourne that can help you :)

  8. That is frustrating. But if its a job you really want I think its worth accepting. I am not sure if you're interested but just letting you know I have awarded you a versatile blog award on my blog http://clickyourheelswithme.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/versatile-blogger-award.html

  9. Congrats on the job! A month will fly by, so I don't think it's too much of an issue, as long as you can afford to take a month off! A month break could be a good way to get ready for the new start!

  10. You can do it :-)
A little temp work, some scrimping, some culling and ebaying. One month will fly by. Particularly if you use the time to focus on your health and well being as well, start some new habits and sort out things you've been meaning to do for months.
