INVISALIGN

Last Year I blogged about looking into Invisalign you can read about it Here.
This morning I went to the dentist for my final workup!
I'm excited its all finally happening.

The stages are:

Step 1: Routine Examination and Dental Health: I had this done a few months ago just to make sure that your teeth and gums are healthy enough to continue with the treatment.

Step 2: Diagnostic Work Up: Which is where they do thorough scans/digital images of all of your teeth and more x-rays.

I had step 2 done this morning it took about an hour and it they took photos of each tooth, took some measurements and created a image of my mouth and teeth.

Step 3: Viewing treatment methods - This comes next, in about 2 weeks my 3-D images will come back and I can go and view how my teeth will change week by week - month by month if I am happy with the end result I find out the exact cost and lenght of treatment. If I am happy with how my teeth will look at the end of the treatment my aligners then get shipped from Amercia!

Step 4: Commence treatment!
I cannot wait for this one.

So in about 3-4 weeks I should have my alligners here and starting treatment. I'm actually really excited to begin fixing my teeth as its something that I always notice about people! I was given an estimated of how much it would cost today and actually came in under what I had expected intially.

It can be an expensive procedure as it can go upto $10,000 depending on where you go but I would say if you have been thinking about Invisalign for a while now, do some research and to your local dentist who will generally provide you with a free consultation.

  1. Oooh, can't wait to see how you go!

I'm planning on doing this in a few years. My old boss did it and was thrilled with the result. Just my top teeth need some tweaking!

  2. Good luck! My friend has had them on for a while and she thinks they are fantastic (and are working really well).
I wish I had them when I needed braces - I had the ugly metal ones from back in the old days :(

  6. I was meant to get the rusty old train tracks during my teenage years and regret not doing it. I am slowly saving to have my teeth fixed at the end of this year but I am leaning towards veneers due to damage from reflux. Dental work is expensive but worth it. I hope everything goes well and you get the result you want. Looking forward to the updates!

  7. I'd love to get this done one day, I used to work for an orthodontist and was amazed by it all. I'm another braces girl, I had them twice, once as a teen and then again later when my 4 wisdom teeth came through and messed them up. My teeth still aren't straight and don't fit in my mouth though so I can see myself wanting to fix them when I can afford it.

    1. Oh Damit that must of been so annoying having all that work done and then to have your wisdom teeth ruin it!! - Look into Invisalign it can be an affordable option depending how much work you need done! x

  8. Invisalign may be quite expensive compared with other teeth aligning treatments, but it’s definitely worth every penny. I’ll be following your journey about this Invisalign treatment. I wish you all the best as you go through the steps of this process. Reminder: be careful not to break/lose or destroy your Invisalign aligners because these may mean an additional expense.
