DATE NIGHT = THAI

So instead of our pre-planned ideas of going to Indian for dinner on Saturday night changed only an hour before we where meant to leave. Poor D has had indian a few more times than I and last time he did he got voilently sick so I think those memories came back to him and he changed his mind. hahah poor thing.

So off we went to Orlando Thai on Bay Street Port Melbourne - Cant complain it was in walking distance!

The restaurant was gorgeous and I loved the decoration.
Especially the cutlery

I wanted to take this fork home hahah.. Dont worry I didnt.

I know I'm abit late but I have decided to jump on the 50 shades of grey bandwagon and ordered the books a week or two ago I ordered the set from the Book Depoistory and on Friday it arrived at work - I have recieved so many parcels at work lately its not funny! I think my receptionist thinks I have some type of online shopping addication.

Its pretty full on ha! What are your thoughts on the book? Im keen to find out.
Speaking about online shopping - I checked again on OzSale to find out where my most resent hauls have gotten to and the status has now moved to "Delievery Requested" So that means its going to be on its way soon. Thankfully then I can update you all on what I brought.

Speaking of Money - I have been trying to save some cash by bringing my own lunch to work.. So I am loving these Suimin Noodles - They arent as nasty as they look.

Whats your bring from home lunch favourite?

One thing I hate it when you buy nail polish and you have to apply 50 layers to achieve the colour that you believe it (is) will be.

I have to admit I dont have alot of the Sally Hansen Nail Polishes so I didnt really know what to expect but this was so watery and not a solid colour infact its almost clear with a tinge of metallic and I've already put on 4 coats.

  1. My problem with those cup noodles is that I'll be absolutely starvin' marvin' later in the afternoon. I'm such a big eater it is not funny.

    1. I know I feel hungry by about 3pm too.. so I'll have an apple hahaha I should probably just save myself the trouble and have something bigger (and better) for lunch.

Oh I cant remember what the names for them in thai are but we started off with chicken spring rolls (probably the best i've EVER tasted!) then we had two main dishes and shared them.. One was a chicken satay and vegetables with a spicy satay sauce and the other was chicken with chilli and vegetables + jasmine rice.

So filling but so delish xx

  2. I just bring leftovers in for lunch. No prep required, and you only have to wash up the container. I'm with Ling, I don't find 2 min noodles filling enough and end up snacking in the arvo anyway haha

    2. Pop the left overs in the freezer in a container before you start eating. That way there were never any left overs :D

  4. I was in Port Melbourne on Sat at Rose Diner :-) - keep following your tracks around the city

I am also doing the bring to lunch thing or trying to - except Fridays. I'm buying those Weight Watcher frozen meals - picked up a heap for $4 each at Coles. Don't think I'm brave enough for the noodles in a cup thing though.

  6. 50 shades of grey...what can I say.. haha. It dragggggs on!! But I have to say the first book really shocks you, the 2nd one is like pretty boring and the 3rd heats up and its quite good. I bought all 3 on my kindle :)

I never buy lunch! I prepare it the night before and bring to work every single day. Saves so much money! I usually take dinner leftovers, or make something easy like a big batch of stir fry, and freeze it in containers to bring to work. Otherwise if theres no leftovers, I make a salad the night before with spinach, tomato, cucumber, chickpeas, champignon mushrooms and tuna. Thats the easiest most nutritious lunch :)

Ugh I hate nail polishes that take 4 coats to get opaque! Sometimes theyre just sheer colours... I never buy sally hansen though, theyre crappy ones!! Get good nail polishes like china glaze & opi! theyre cheap when you buy them on ebay from USA!

  7. That restaurant looks so lovely! Must venture out of the CBD to South and Port Melbourne a bit more!
Haha that book series.... I read the first one and was so bored, I was actually skipping the scenes because I couldn't handle the stupid guy whipping her or whatever (not into that stuff obviously LOL) but I just felt that he was very controlling and I didn't enjoy the book or find it a 'turn on' whatsoever!!!!

I've never read 50 shades, I'm just not interested! Hope you like it though.
