BOYFRIEND TURNS 26

Yesterday was the boyfriends birthday and the old man turned 26.
I told him I would take a photo of him today and then again next year on his birthday and see how much older he looked, he wasn't too keen on this idea, but I snapped it anyway.

He had a work dinner on last night so we didn't make dinner plans, instead we caught up for lunch.
We went to Left bank in Southbank.

The boyfriend ordered Corn Fed Roast Chicken $33
I had the Steak with Cherry Salad $22

I like left bank they have good food and its relatively priced.
However, if I tell you I don't want blood coming from my steak, I mean it! Gah.
But the boyfriend loved his which was good, considering its his birthday ha!

Yesterday in the foyer of my work building they had a number of different stalls set up, I'm not sure if these are all local people they must be? Anyway I saw that there was a cupcake stall. This of course peaked my interest so over I went.

They where $2 each
2 for $5
or
6 for $12

I brought two, one for the boyfriend for his birthday. When I gave it to him he asked if it was "A Protein Cupcake" I smiled and said "Of Course" haha.

But in all seriousness, these cupcakes are purely amazing. If you cant see the label above they are from "Sophisticakes" her name is Barbara  and I highly suggest that you check out her website!
I don't even know if she does online ordering, but I know she makes cupcakes, wedding cakes, engagement cake etc etc. They are so darn good.

Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary and we are heading away for the weekend a bit of a combo for our anniversary and his birthday.
Cannot wait!

FIRST TIME.. BIKRAM YOGA

On Sunday, I had a fruit overload day and watched The Ellen Show. Perfect Sunday haha

I made a smoothie which consisted of:
- Blueberries
-  Strawberries
- Watermelon
- Banana
- Chai seeds
- Oranges (Juice only)

It was so so good, I love fresh fruit I could seriously overdose on it's goodness.
I then attacked a punnet of cherries ha!
I broke the healthy streak by heading to 7/11 to get a Sunday night dessert but boy was it worth it.

Mmmm.. so good.

The new colour bug shimmer by Kevin Murphy landed in my little hands this week, I have used the pink and purple before I found that purple didn't really pick up on my hair but the pink certainly did. I'll try this one out tonight (Its hair washing day so it'll work out well) and I'll post some photos. Have you tried it before?

Last night for the first time I did Bikram Yoga with a colleague of mine. We went to Bikram Yoga in South Melbourne. I have done normal yoga before BUT not Bikram. Wow haha. Let me tell you it's not glam that's for sure.

I was told it gets pretty hot in there but I didn't realize just how hot! I was feeling so dizzy at one point and not to mention dripping with sweat I couldn't believe it ha! Everyone had their own puddles of sweat going on. While I admit at first it was a little intense I did warm (ha key word) up-to it in the end and really enjoyed the stretching at the end, Or maybe I just knew it was finished haha. Even enduring the smell of feet and sweat for 90 minutes I feel so good this morning, relaxed and stretched.
I think we will do this 3 times a week.
Have you tried it before?

I also wanted to start doing some normal yoga at home, can anyone recommend any good Yoga DVDs  to buy?

BREAKFAST SUGGESTIONS

I'm writing this post on The Boyfriends new laptop. One bonus of having a boyfriend who works in IT he can always fix my computer, repair my iPhone and bring me home the latest gadgets to play with... Cannot complain.

This little gem is so light and thin.. I'm sad that he has to take it back to work!

I go through phases with Juice - Im the type of person that thinks drinking Juice is "breakfast" yes yes I know my receptionist at work tells me off about this each morning. But lately I have been digging the Charlies juice - So much goodness in one bottle.

Which brings me onto my next issue.. Breakfast
Lets face it.. by the time I wake up, shower, get my clothes ready, do my hair/makeup its literally time for me to run out the door and to be honest I really cannot face food (besides coffee!) much before 11am so I dont even crave it, but the odd mornings I do force myself to eat I feel much better and don't start picking at food pre-lunch.

This was my attempt at breakfast last week - We have an IGA about 500 meters from our building so I always head down there for my snacks/bits and pieces.
What do you have for breakfast!? I need ideas of fast, quick but healthy options!?

Getting my flower on.

Tomorrows Friday - Happy days and for my fellow Melbournians - Happy long weekend.

RAIN RAIN.. GO AWAY

If I haven't mentioned this before, I'll mention it now.. I hate rain.

This was the message I sent to our receptionist this morning to let her know I would be late. Turns out I was 1.5hours late. I live 10 minutes from work! Crazy Melbourne weather and traffic I swear people lose it whenever the rain starts to fall.

So instead of hitting my pile of work I am sitting here with more curls in my hair (thank you mother nature) with my trusting T2 Peppermint cup posting this!.

In more happy news because we all love food, On Friday we went to Merrywell at Crown for lunch, this definitely wasn't what I was excepting I had heard good things about this place.

Its really hard to graciously eat a burger that's almost the size of your head hahaha in saying that the food was delicious. I ordered the merrywell burger my favourite part was the fries they where so crunchy and full of goodness. Drooling just thinking about it.
If you haven't been yet then make sure you do.

My Saturday night was spent putting on some extra kgs with my favourite Ben and Jerrys Ice-cream while watching equally as bad movies.. I needed a quiet weekend so I wasn't complaining.

Sunday afternoon we ventured out to catch some sun which resulted in getting coffee and juice and then right next door to the coffee shop is Flight Centre, I could feel the boyfriends eyes enlarge as he was thinking of excuses to get me away from the window. hahahah poor kid.

How cheap are these prices!?

The other day during my lunch break I headed over to crown and had a little look around at what Witchery had in stock. Witchery for me is such a hit and miss some days I can walk in and want everything other days nothing stands out at me.

I did however love this pink maxi dress $149.00 It's still in the back of my mind but I decided against it after I tried it on and umm'd and arrgh'd and probably drove the sales assistant cray cray.

Autumn is right around the corner which exists me beyond belief. I love Autumn not only is it my birthday but I love the fashion and layers that come around for Autumn. Have you seen anything good in stores yet?

DATE NIGHT = THAI

So instead of our pre-planned ideas of going to Indian for dinner on Saturday night changed only an hour before we where meant to leave. Poor D has had indian a few more times than I and last time he did he got voilently sick so I think those memories came back to him and he changed his mind. hahah poor thing.

So off we went to Orlando Thai on Bay Street Port Melbourne - Cant complain it was in walking distance!

The restaurant was gorgeous and I loved the decoration.
Especially the cutlery

I wanted to take this fork home hahah.. Dont worry I didnt.

I know I'm abit late but I have decided to jump on the 50 shades of grey bandwagon and ordered the books a week or two ago I ordered the set from the Book Depoistory and on Friday it arrived at work - I have recieved so many parcels at work lately its not funny! I think my receptionist thinks I have some type of online shopping addication.

Its pretty full on ha! What are your thoughts on the book? Im keen to find out.
Speaking about online shopping - I checked again on OzSale to find out where my most resent hauls have gotten to and the status has now moved to "Delievery Requested" So that means its going to be on its way soon. Thankfully then I can update you all on what I brought.

Speaking of Money - I have been trying to save some cash by bringing my own lunch to work.. So I am loving these Suimin Noodles - They arent as nasty as they look.

Whats your bring from home lunch favourite?

One thing I hate it when you buy nail polish and you have to apply 50 layers to achieve the colour that you believe it (is) will be.

I have to admit I dont have alot of the Sally Hansen Nail Polishes so I didnt really know what to expect but this was so watery and not a solid colour infact its almost clear with a tinge of metallic and I've already put on 4 coats.

STRAYA' DAY

Long weekends always fly by so fast.
I actually woke up yesterday in a panic thinking what if it's not a public holiday and I've misssed work? Freak I know.

Everyone loves a post that starts off about food - so here it is.
On Friday a group of us headed out for lunch to Leftbank - We work right next to it so its the perfect little place to go! Their happy hour is my favourite but lets not discuss that now.

I had the Warm Korean BBQ Beef salad  - I've had this so many times before and it just gets better better and better each time!  One thing that Left bank does good is their pizza! My colleagues ordered a BBQ beef Pizza.. I had a bite and omg the sauce on that pizza was amazing!

I've noticed how much Australia "Strayla Mate" Day celebrations really can bring out the inner bogan in all of my facebook friends.. haha! I did my part to help with feeling Aussie and made the boyfriend and myself some vegemite on toast. He looked at me and asked "what is this for?"

We caught the fireworks later that night from our Balcony.
In the midst of my nesting stage we (the boyfriend) decided to upgrade our TV after alot of umming and arrghing we decided with the 65inch which makes our lounge room look a movie cinema.
I wasnt complaining as I know zilch about tvs so he made a good choice.

My favourite feature is that its sound activated which is great for someone lazy like myself. You just have to say "TV" first and then it comes up with a list of options.. EG; Change the channel, Volume up or down.. Search functions etc etc - All while sitting on the couch. Bingo!

I also dragged the boyfriend to House on Sunday as I wanted to get a new dinner set - They had some great sales on but nothing was jumping out at me to say buy me buy me! I did like this platter by Marie Claire but not enough to buy it.

I did tho fall in love with these Chloe sunglasses - The boyfriend made sure he had made up some excuse to leave the store before I could take them to the counter.

Lastnight we ended up picking up Crust pizza for dinner - I love Crust and it's probably the only pizza that i'll eat nowdays and we make it a rare thing which also adds to the excitment.

Mmmm..Pizza
Please dont judge me hahahaha.

On a serious note - Just looking at all of these floods and natural disasters Australia wide - I hope everyone remains safe and away from danger xx
